I found Enara 17 months ago, and at that time I was 6ft, 228 pounds, 28% body fat, and I was miserable (although I didn’t know it). The intimate relationships in my life were suffering, I was cranky and negative, and I was having issues at work. My children knew that something was off with Dad but didn’t know how to hep me.  My biometrics were not good either: my good cholesterol was 36, my bad cholesterol was 183, I was pre-diabetic and considered pre-obese due to my very high BMI. I was working out 3-5 times a week with weights, running, and cycling, and was very active with skiing, wake-boarding and surfing, but came to find out that I couldn’t outrun a bad diet and was in total weight gain mode and didn’t know how to stop it. I was hopeless.

I’d wake up and eat 3 Eggos, fully loaded with butter and peanut butter, then go have breakfast at work. I’d then eat a large lunch and have a snack, then dinner, and then 2 pieces of fully loaded toast before I went to bed. This was terrible! My whole life was in a tailspin.  I was introduced to Enara by a close relationship and immediately got started with full vigor.  I went through baseline and saw what I was doing to myself, and then had labs done and saw the results my abhorrent eating and weight gain was having on my anatomy and physiology. It wasn’t pretty.  So, Danielle and I began the work.  We started cleaning up breakfast and I ate so much Greek yogurt and nuts and fruit that I couldn’t eat anymore. Lunch was a bit easier as we had some more choices with regards to food. Dinner was probably the trickiest, but we held firm and cleaned it up. Then the magic started to happen.

Over the course of a few months, the weight started to come off, not quickly, not in great numbers, but gradually and consistently.  We started having discussions around eating emotionally and why I eat, and just because my stomach tells me I’m hungry doesn’t mean I have to eat.  About 10 months in, we got stuck at the 210 weight. We tried many things to shake off the plateau but it took what it took, which was time.  After a few months at the 208-210 weight, the pounds started to come off again.  I’m now at 192 consistently, have lost 10% body fat, a total of 40 pounds. My biometrics are now very good: my good cholesterol is 49, my bad cholesterol is 140, my blood pressure is 112/72, and my resting pulse is 56 and that of an 18 YO.  I am more active now than I’ve been in 20 years. I make healthy eating choices every day due to the work I’ve done with Danielle, Leticia and Dr. Rami. I have turned the corner on eating emotionally, my work is going much better, my relationships in my life have never been better, and I’m truly happy.  I’m forever grateful to Enara for the program they introduced me to 17 months ago that has change my life and made it worthy of living!

Thank you Enara!

Joe lost 16% of his body weight:

Joe reduced his LDL cholesterol by 24%:

  • LDL is the bad cholesterol.
  • It collects in the walls of blood vessels leading to atherosclerosis which put you at greater risk for a heart attack or stroke.
  • The goal for people with one other risk factor for heart disease (e.g. increased BMI, high blood pressure, diabetes, family history) is an LDL level under 100.

Joe reduced his triglycerides by 68%:

  • Fatty foods and carbohydrates that we eat are broken down into globs of fat called triglycerides.
  • High levels of triglycerides can increase your risk for heart disease, stroke, and nerve damage.
  • Excess glucose in the blood can be used to make triglycerides, which is why people with insulin sensitivity, pre-diabetes, or diabetes often also have elevated triglycerides.
