This week, we bring you another Costo find, the Good Foods Organic Avocado Mash. At 90 calories per cup, these make a fantastic heart-healthy fat addition to your balanced plate, or a satisfying snack if you’re on the Gradual or Maintenance tracks. Not to mention, they contain only four ingredients (organic avocados, lemon juice, salt, black pepper). For those on a VLCD, try mixing half of the cup (45 calories) with your favorite vinegar for a savory avocado-based dressing. Or spread ½ on a low carb tortilla, add a soft boiled egg, and sprinkle with your favorite seasoning and voila, avocado toast! For those on Gradual or Maintenance programs, we think these make fantastic on-the-go snacks. At two ounces per cup, you can even make it through the airport security line.
