Grocery Spotlight: Trader Joe’s Green Goddess Dressing

Need something to go with that salad? Look no further! Trader Joe’s version of Green Goddess Dressing has 20 calories per 2 tablespoons. It’s a great way to add flavor to your salads for very little. Common salad dressings like caesar, ranch, thousand island and more can have more calories (from the cream and fat). And while you could use a smaller portion for these traditional dressings, why not try a dressing with fewer calories per serving and 3x less sodium. TJ’s Green Goddess Dressing subs out the typical sour cream and mayonnaise ingredients for avocados and apple cider vinegar. Basil, lemon and chives are the stand out flavors in this dressing that’ll give your salads a refreshing taste while giving you a little extra kick.

With 2g fat and 95 mg per serving, it is much lighter than its dressing counterparts.

Get creative! Non-traditional ways to use this dressing is as a light dip for on the go snacks (if you’re on gradual program) or as a small sauce for an entree (OK for VLCD).
