Try Sinto Gourmet Kimchi, a delicious and easy way to add probiotic fermented vegetables to your meals!

Introduction to Fermented Foods

Did you know that one of the ways to support gut health is to eat low-sugar fermented foods? Consuming these functional foods can have a greater impact on health than supplementing with probiotic capsules alone! Fermented foods often come with beneficial bacteria in much greater quantity and variety than those found in commercial probiotic supplements. In addition, fermented foods are often packed with fiber and prebiotics (food to help the good bacteria survive). Along with eating a healthful diet, consuming fermented foods sets up an environment where the good guys thrive. Note that not all fermented foods contain live probiotics (beer/wine and cooked products for example), but many often do: yogurt, kefir, kombucha, sauerkraut, pickles, miso, tempeh, and kimchi.

Sinto Gourmet Kimchi

There are many other benefits to fermented foods we won’t cover today. Instead, we’d like to introduce a specific line of products: Sinto Gourmet Kimchi! Kimchi is a traditional Korean food that results from the fermentation process of probiotic lactic acid bacteria on various vegetables. Usually, that vegetable is napa cabbage. When fermentation concludes, the end product is crunchy, tangy, and often spicy — a perfect low calorie flavor blast that you can add to meals, and doubles as a vegetable! What’s unique about Sinto Gourmet products is the ingredients: you won’t find added sugars, MSG, or fish sauce, so their kimchi is both minimally-processed and vegan-friendly.

There are a few varieties to choose from: Spicy Napa Kimchi, Mild Napa Kimchi*, Radish Kimchi, and Plenty Roots (beets and carrots). All are delicious, and we promise you won’t miss the added sugar!
