Rockstar of The Month
– March 2018 –

My Mom discovered Enara and introduced me to the program when I came home from college for the summer.  At that time, I weighed 287 pounds. I was tired and in pain all the time. At my first visit, I found out that I had gained so much weight that I would qualify for surgery or weight loss medication from my insurance provider. Dr. Rami and I also discussed the VLCD program to lose weight faster. We ended up not going with those options because there was a risk that I would gain the weight back. My goal was to educate myself, lose weight in a healthy way and keep it off.

Rockstar of The Month – March 2018

Dr. Bailony and Danielle encouraged me to come in weekly so I would stay on track. They provided very clear guidance on what types of nutrients my body needs and what to cut back on.  We also talked about exercise options. Because of my foot pain, I chose to swim every day for an hour. After the summer I kept going with Enara. I had online appointments every other week. I started cooking my own meals on the weekends which was really fun. My diet was pretty consistent thanks to Danielle. I am also working with Vince, the personal trainer at Enara, to help me motivated while at school.

Now I am 9 months into the program with a current weight of 177 pounds. I feel much better about my body. My cholesterol and sleep schedule has normalized as well. I am a lot healthier after losing 110 pounds. My goal is to get to 165 lbs and keep it off. I am very thankful for Dr. Bailony, Danielle, Vince, and the entire team who is helping me get healthier. I would also like to give a special thank you to my mom who went to Enara with me and also went to the gym with me every day. Thanks mom!

Trigl Cholesterol Progress 70%

  • Fatty foods and carbohydrates that we eat are broken down into globs of fat called triglycerides.
  • High levels increase your risk for heart disease, stroke, and nerve damage.
  • Excess glucose in the blood can be used to make triglycerides, which is why people with insulin sensitivity, prediabetes, or Diabetes often also have elevated triglycerides.

LDL Cholesterol Progress 39%
  • LDL is the bad cholesterol.
  • It collects in the walls of blood vessels leading to atherosclerosis which put you at greater risk for a heart attack or stroke.
  • The goal for people with one other risk factor for heart disease (e.g. increased BMI, high blood pressure, diabetes, family history) is an LDL level under 100.
