Thats why it was great to find these frozen Carrot Spirals at Trader Joe’s, a fun alternative to the traditional zoodle (zucchini noodle, also available at TJ’s). The spirals contain just two ingredients, carrots and sea salt, and cook up quickly on the stovetop to al dente perfection. Each 1/4 of the package contains just 35 calories and 2g of fiber making them a great VLCD friendly pasta replacement. They can be kept on-hand in the freezer for a quick weeknight meal.

Toss with a little olive oil, garlic, and fresh basil for a simple pesto-inspired side, or try topped with your favorite tomato sauce and ground turkey mixture the next time you have a pasta craving. Enjoy!
