Grocery Spotlight: Summer Mocktails with Traditional Medicinals Teas

Hibiscus tea combined with sparkling water makes a lovely non-caloric drink that feels festive and tastes delicious, without the alcohol. This is a great drink to serve at social events for anyone who is avoiding alcohol and still wants to enjoy a special drink, even better if poured over ice into a cocktail glass.

Traditional Medicinals also combines hibiscus tea with rosehips and hawthorn, so feel free to experiment to find your favorite taste.

I like to make a strong tea, 4 bags in 2 cups of boiling water, and steep for about 5 minutes. Remove the bags and let the tea cool down enough to refrigerate.

Once chilled, pour about ¼ cup – or to taste – over 12 oz cold sparkling water and ice. Add an orange or lemon rind, and enjoy!
